What we do
We adopt a no-nonsense business-oriented approach to system development with a focus on achieving results.
Our work covers three main areas:- Business analysis
- Systems analysis
- Computer programming
This enables us to offer a complete service to you whether you already know what you want and have a program specification available or whether you are unsure what you require, in which case our consultants will work with you to understand your needs and help you find the best solution for your business.
Once your requirements are known we can either write the specification for you to source the work from elsewhere or program and implement the solution ourselves - the choice is yours. This gives you maximum flexibility to use your own resources if available (i.e. we don't insist on doing the whole job from start to finish - that choice should be yours). If you do use outsourced suppliers then we can manage the process on your behalf if you wish.
We develop programs in a variety of programming languages (e.g. PHP, C++, Fortran, Cobol) and on multiple platforms (e.g. Linux, Windows). Development usually takes place on our own computer systems and in our own offices so avoiding the expense of you providing equipment and office space for the work.
We offer short or long-term support contracts on our work. This gives you peace of mind to know that any bug fixes or changes you require to the system will be efficiently and expeditiously actioned.
A quick word about what we don't do:
We don't design websites - we are system developers not graphic designers. It is very important that your website reflects your business ethos and presents you in the best possible way to prospective customers. The design of your website is a 'marketing' function and should not be left to a computer programmer. We strongly recommend you entrust the design of your website to a graphic designer who will spend the time to ask the right questions about how you want to project your image and design your website appropriately. For the same reasons we do not recommend using an "off-the-shelf" design. For a small cost you can have an effective design that will repay itself many times over in new business generated.
Where we can help is with programming the website once you have your design - we have programmers proficient in website programming languages (e.g. HTML, XML, CSS and Javascript).
